The Chase

I've recently re-formatted every scene to make a newly
revised cut of this short, now in High Definition! Credit for
the zombie walk at the very end goes to Scott MacDonald.

Nil the main character, is told a horrible secret and
as a result he now possesses a power that could lead
to the destruction of the current regime, and they will
stop at nothing to destroy him. The chase is on as Nil
runs for his life in this sci-fi action thriller.

Inspired by many things like Samurai Jack, Dark City,
and Run Lola Run. This is the 1st of what was supposed
to be 12 chapters. Originally produced in 2005 and honored
at the Ottawa International Film Festival and the
Atlantic Film Festival that year.

OK, so here we go.
I've been hugely motivated by the short films and clips created by friends Curtis Carey, Mike Geiger, Mirco Chen, and Matt Shepherd... I'm finally finding the time to make my own very short and senseless animated spots. After working in television cartoons for the past 10 years now, I've rarely had the chance to doodle up my own little cartoons. So I've been putting this off way too long. It's time I did this for myself, for fun!

I've been teaching animation for this past year and its given me new found incentive to shake off some of this rust and try some things out. I've been constantly inspired by the works of Nick Cross, Harry Partridge, Todd Ramsay, Graham Annable, Aaron Long, Alex Buerta, Anthony Schepperd, Steve Whitehouse, Malcolm Sutherland, Nate Theis & Pascal Campion. So this little blog is the stage that will ambitiously present to you all the superfluous shorts I produce. Hopefully you'll enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them.
